As the year goes by

An iron bed is not affordable for all families in a third world country. A bed made of wood and covered with a mat made abacca is the standard family bed in a poor country. It is sad to say and admit that fifty percent of this country’s population do not have beds to sleep on and sleep on the floor. And what is even worse is that some families especially children sleep on the streets, and use card boards for beds, and newspapers for blankets. As the year goes by, more and more children are begging on the streets and sleeping on the sidewalks at night and their number continues to grow. There is no evident action from the government to try and help out these families and children, that they will find a decent home and stay out of the streets.   During the holiday season, more children and adults alike, take the streets to do caroling because they think that people are more giving on the holiday season but some make a living out of begging. It is sad, because this is a fact in the city where I am currently living at, and it is obvious that the government is not doing anything about this, but the case is not as worse in the capital of my country. To completely eliminate street children and their families that are living on the street, the government must eradicate poverty. Until these people learn how to earn a living, they will continue to beg for their money and food.
